The Dubbo Stampede takes place on
Sunday 6th September, 2025.
All events start and finish at Ollie Robbins Oval, Dubbo.
Registrations are opening soon, with early bird offers available for a limited time.
❋ Key Dates
Race day includes 6 events across the morning, starting with our longer distance runners and finishing with our family friendly and junior events.

6.00am | Race Precinct Open
6.30am | 42.2km Rhino Ramble
7.00am | 21.1km Zebra Zoom
8.30am | 10km Cheetah Chase
9.45am | 5.3km Dingo Dash
8.40am | 1km Wallaby Wheel, Walk and Run
11.00am | Meerkat Mile for kids aged 5–12
Exact start times, wave details and presentations are provided in the Race Guide. Please arrive early to allow time for parking, bib collection and warm up.
❋ Schedule
Race Kits are to be collected on Saturday 6th September 2025 from 1-4pm at Ollie Robbins Oval on Bligh St, Dubbo. There will be no race packs mailed out.
Parking is available on Bligh St and the carparks adjoining Bligh St. We recommend carpooling and arriving early to allow time for parking, toilets and pre-race preparation. Please check your event start time carefully and plan to be at the start line at least 15 minutes prior.
Ensure you are familiar with your course, aid station locations and any cut off times.
❋ Before the Race
Toilets, 1km/5km markers, water and aid stations will be available on all courses. Medical support and course marshals will be positioned throughout the course to ensure runner safety.
Please follow all instructions from volunteers and officials, stay aware of other runners and be respectful of shared paths. Headphones are permitted, however runners must remain alert at all times.
Only registered participants are permitted on course. For events that pass through Taronga Western Plains Zoo, spectators must hold valid zoo entry.
❋ During the Race
There will be no road closures on race day.
Obley Road will remain open, with authorised traffic controllers stopping or slowing traffic between 6.30am and 9.30am as runners cross to enter and exit the zoo.
Traffic controllers will be in place on Macquarie Street at the Tamworth Street and Bligh Street intersections from 8.00am to approximately 9.10am. Drivers are encouraged to use Camp Road as an alternate route where possible and to follow all traffic directions.
❋ Road Closures
The race precinct at Ollie Robbins Oval will include toilets, bag drop, first aid, recovery areas and sponsor activations.
Food, coffee and merchandise will be available throughout the morning, making it a great place for spectators to cheer on runners. Accessible facilities are available, including for participants in the Wallaby Wheel, Walk and Run.

The Dubbo Stampede will be held on Sunday 6th September 2026.

All registrations must be made online.
Early Bird prices end 11.59pm Tuesday 30th June, 2026.
Registrations close at 11.59pm Wednesday 2nd September, 2026.
No registrations can be taken on the day.

Entry fees vary for each race length and can be found on the Registration page.
Prices range from $25 for the 5.3km Dingo Dash to $145 for the 42.2km Rhino Ramble (Early Bird.)
Family and group discounts are available.

Unfortunately, only the 21.1km Zebra Zoom and 42.2km Rhino Ramble runners are permitted to run around the Zoo. Spectators will need to pay Zoo entry. Alternatively, spectators can only access the free areas of the Zoo to cheer on runners.
There is a free spectator section at the Start/Finish line for families to watch their loved ones. You can walk around the river track to find a place to cheer on the participants.

Participants must be 16 years or over in the year of the event to participate in the 21.1km Zebra Zoom and 18 years or over in the year of the event to participate in the 42.2km Rhino Ramble.
Anyone can participate in the 5.3km Dingo Dash and 10km Cheetah Chase events with prams and strollers. The 5.3km event is ideal for families. Children under 11 are advised to stay within arms reach of an adult or guardian.

You can order merchandise when you register for the event.
If you have completed your registration and want to add on merchandise, follow these instructions.

In your Registration Confirmation email, click 'My Events' at the very bottom of the email. Log in using your name and password, or create an account if you don't have one.
Click 'Edit my registration' to change your name, gender, date of birth, address and emergency contact information.
You can also transfer your registration, order some merchandise or change categories.

If you registered on behalf of someone else, the waiver may not have been signed for all the other people you registered for.
Affected participants would have received an email regarding this from 'Active', so please go back to that email, click on the link and sign your waiver using your name, DOB and email you used to register.
Everyone that has registered to run must have signed their waiver prior to participating in the virtual event.
Alternatively, you can access the waiver here. Email us at contact@dubbostampede.com.au stating the name and date of birth for all people you are signing the waiver for (spouse, children etc) and return to this email address.

YES! We have a prize pool of over $10,000 for male and female place-getters in the 5.3km Dingo Dash, 10km Cheetah Chase, 21.1km Zebra Zoom and 42.2km Rhino Ramble.

Yes! Prams & wheelchairs are allowed in any of the races.
We also have the 5.3km Dingo Dash or 1km Wallaby Wheel for Wheelchair athletes.

For safety, any other form of transport with wheels other than prams and wheelchairs are not permitted.

That’s a shame! We hope you can run with the herd in the future.
Unfortunately, we do not provide refunds for your entry. You can transfer your registration to another person.
Please click on the link 'Transfer to someone else' in your confirmation email. The last day to transfer your registration is the Thursday prior the event.

You can upgrade or downgrade your category by Thursday before the event.

Yes! Your pets can stay at the Start/Finish precinct with your loved ones ready to greet you at the end of your event.
We ask that they are on a leash and socialised in case there are lots of other furry friends there. Keep in mind there will be music and loud speaker announcements.
Your best friend can enjoy training with you but there is a strict NO PETS to run the event.

We strongly discourage the use of headphones, headsets, iPods, mp3 players and other types of personal audio devices.
If earpieces are in place, traffic may not be clearly heard. This presents a risk to personal safety. If you use your mobile phone GPS to track your race, we request that earpieces not be used.

Safety is paramount. Make sure you are fit and healthy on the day and that you can complete your chosen event. If you are unwell, please don’t risk it, it's probably best you do not compete.
