Meerkat Mile (5–12 years)

The Meerkat Mile is a fun and friendly one mile event designed especially for kids aged 5 to 12. Starting from the main event start line, children will run an out and back course under the supervision of the Dubbo Stampede volunteer team, creating a safe and encouraging race day experience. All participants receive a race wristband and lolly bag, making it a great introduction to running in a supportive festival atmosphere.

1 km Wallaby Wheel, Walk and Run
$0.00

Dubbo Stampede’s inclusive, non-competitive event designed for people with disability, families and recreational participants. Starting at Ollie Robbins Oval, the fully paved course allows participants to walk, wheel or run to the official finish line in a supportive, community focused environment. This shorter option is offered to encourage greater participation, with the 5 km Wallaby Wheel course still available for those wanting a longer distance. All entrants receive a medal and water bottle, support workers enter free and the Dubbo Stampede Committee covers entry costs to ensure accessibility for all.

5.3 km Dingo Dash

A relaxed and welcoming event that loops around the Macquarie River, making it ideal for walkers, families and first time runners. Held on Sunday 7 September, the course offers a scenic and social experience while still delivering a genuine race day atmosphere. Registration includes a finisher medal, water bottle and access to the race precinct, with training plans available for both walkers transitioning to running and runners chasing a personal best. Children aged four and over must be registered, with younger participants welcome to join if registered, and children under 11 encouraged to stay within arm’s reach of an adult.

10 km Cheetah Chase

A great next step for runners who are ready to move beyond 5 km or for experienced runners chasing a new personal best. This all rounder event offers a fast, enjoyable course that suits a wide range of abilities, making it ideal whether you are building confidence or pushing your pace. With a supportive race day atmosphere and a well organised course, the Cheetah Chase delivers a rewarding challenge without the commitment of a longer distance.
