RAB Schools Challenge

Earn points to win money for your school!

Get your school in the running at Dubbo Stampede

The Regional Australia Bank Schools Challenge is a fun way for schools to get involved in the Dubbo Stampede while promoting health, participation and community spirit. When you register for any Dubbo Stampede event, simply nominate your school and earn points towards your school’s overall score.

The challenge is open to students, parents, staff and alumni of eligible schools. Points are awarded to schools based on participation, with higher distance events earning more points. Schools with the highest participation scores can win $500, a trophy and bragging rights.

How points are awarded

  • Wallaby Wheel, Macquarie Mile and 5.3 km Dingo Dash: 1 point

  • 10 km Cheetah Chase: 2 points

  • 21.1 km Zebra Zoom: 4 points

  • 42.2 km Rhino Ramble: 8 points

Age limits apply for the half and full marathon events.

Points earned by participants are totalled for each school and then divided by the school’s most recent publicly available enrolment numbers (MySchools website) to ensure a fair result.

Prize categories

  • Small schools: fewer than 250 students

  • Medium schools: 251–450 students

  • Large schools: 451 students and over

With a range of events suitable for children, families and the wider community, the Dubbo Stampede and the Regional Australia Bank Schools Challenge encourage people of all ages to get active, get involved and support their school.
