There will be thousands of participants on the day plus spectators and volunteers.

Car pooling will ease some pressure on traffic and car parking management, make you a good global citizen, and get you turning up to the race calm and ready for a PB!

Turn up early, follow the marshals and you can't go wrong!

If you have not been able to pick up your race kit on Saturday, you will need to be at the zoo between 6 - 7am to collect your bib number.

Drop off zone

If you are getting dropped off by friends or family it is recommended that you do not drive into the zoo to avoid traffic issues. There is an area at the zoo entrance where you can be dropped off easily. It is only a short walk through the zoo gates and into the race precinct.

Parking areas

On arrival please do not park outside the zoo. There is enough designated parking within the zoo for all participants. Traffic marshals will be directing you where to park.

On the chance the zoo parking area is full, marshals will direct you to a designated parking area in the paddock opposite the Zoo.

When leaving, please drive carefully and watch for pedestrians and runners. The zoo is a 10km/hr speed limit, shared zone. We recommend taking some time after your race to grab a coffee and a bite to eat, or visit the zoo (with your free entry). There are even free bbq areas throughout the zoo for visitors to use.

Road closures

Obley Road will be closed from 6.15am – 10.15am.

Traffic marshals are used for runners crossing Obley Road after 10.15am
